Well I am finally back, thank God!  My life has been super extremely crazy for quite a while now, and I am looking forward to settling back into a routine and normalcy.  Justin is now working again, so by the beginning of August we should be doing good again, hopefully.

My Lip Stuff Review and Giveaway

I love beauty products, make-up and pretty much anything like that.  I especially love natural, organic, eco-friendly and cruelty free items.  So when I read about My Lip Stuff I knew I just had to try their product.  So I e-mailed Brea, the owner and creator of My Lip Stuff, and she was nice enough to ship me out some products to try.  She was so sweet, and offered to let me host a giveaway for some of her products as well.

I've honestly never seen such a selection of lip balms in my entire life.  They have over 400 flavors!  I was so excited to try the ones that Brea picked out for me.  So when the little package arrived here at the house, I quickly opened it, read the labels and applied the Rainbow Sherbet flavored lip balm to my lips, after smelling it of course.  I was pleasantly surprised that it did in fact smell exactly like Rainbow Sherbet!  I quickly found out that it tasted amazing as well.  I was really intrigued when I found out that Jennifer Garner uses it!  My Lip Stuff has been featured in several different magazines, and is a friend of PETA business. 

I was afraid that the lip balm was going to be that sticky, gross, thick gloss that feels weird and annoys me to no end.  It's not like that at all though.  It's buttery, goes on smooth and makes my lips feel so soft!  I'm a lip balm junkie, and I use it at least six times a day, that's the low end of average for me.  The sticky stuff really annoys me though, and I can not tell you how many times I have bought lip balm and it has turned out to actually be sticky, thick, ill smelling lip gloss that gets all over everything.  I have been using My Lip Stuff for the past week and have put all my other tubes, containers and tiny little jars away.  It truly is an amazing product.  If you're like me and hate that sticky, gross lip gunk that they have the nerve to market as lip balm then this is the product for you, for sure.  Even if you're just looking for an organic lip balm or if you are interested in using cruelty free beauty products, then I suggest this lip balm to you! 

Brea is a person with a wonderful vision, and she runs a company dedicated to leaving the smallest carbon footprint possible, and I really respect that!  I live by the saying "reuse, reduce and recycle" so it makes sense that I would support a company like My Lip Stuff.  Here is an excerpt from her website that I found particularly inspiring:

Kicky Pants Product Review

Have you ever heard of Kicky Pants?  If you answered no to that question then I am genuinely shocked and you seriously need to read this review, because this is one brand of eco-friendly and modern baby clothes that you are going to want to be aware of, for sure!  They are a celebrity baby favorite, and there are several haute tots toddling around wearing the latest from this brand!

Why should you know about Kicky Pants?  Because it is a company on the rise!  It had humble beginnings when Erin Cloke was expecting her second child and on bed rest she decided that she wanted to do something that would benefit their whole family and allow her and her husband to spend more time as a family.  That's an admirable goal, right?  Honestly, who doesn't want to do something that fits into that description?  Her husband has this to say about Erin and the beginning of their company:

She had always been the mom who sought out great products and had to write down store names and web addresses on scraps of paper wherever she went.  She was also frequently looking for things that didn't exist, except for in her head.  And when she couldn't find them, she would make them!  

After the birth of their child Kicky Pants became a reality for Erin and her husband, and the store is named after the baby that she was expecting at the time when she first thought of the idea for Kicky Pants.  The rest, as they say, is history.

I appreciate that Erin is the mommy of two boys, because as the mother of two boys of my own I know just how taxing it can be to find the type of clothes that I am looking for.  It's quite the task to find stylish, modern and trendy baby clothing for my boys that are just as cute as their female counterparts.  If you're the mother of only girls and you don't have any boys to shop for regularly then you can take my word for it, it can get pretty rough when you're shopping for clothing for your tiny members of the male gender.  That's one of my favorite things about Kicky pants.  They have the cutest clothes and they are stylish, modern and don't feature a giant photo of Pooh or Tigger on the butt of them.  Not that I don't like Pooh, but that's not what I'm looking for in my sons clothing.  I want some really great pieces that I can mix and match, classic pieces that have been updated with a modern print, and Kicky Pants provides just that!  You see, I like cute clothing but I don't like overly "cutesy" cookie cutter cloths for my baby boys.  
                                    

Then there's Kicky Pants, which I have described as my dream come true as far as clothes for my boys are concerned.  They have the perfect mixture of "cute" and modern style, and the best part is, wait for it wait for it, they are made from bamboo.  Yes, that's right...I said it, bamboo.  If you have never laid hands on bamboo fabric before then I command you to go directly to the Kicky Pants website and pick up some of their gorgeous bamboo basics baby clothes, because it is the softest fabric that I have ever touched in my entire life, hands down!  Bamboo is a very eco-friendly alternative to traditional fabric and is the triple threat of fabrics -- it's incredibly luxurious feeling, it's eco-friendly and it's a miracle fabric of sorts as it actually absorbs water anywhere from three to four times better than cotton(which makes you more comfortable while wearing it)!  As if that wasn't enough, it actually adjusts to the temperature!  You probably think I'm playing, but I'm not!  Bamboo fabric will adjust itself to stay 3-4 degrees cooler in warm or hot weather and 3-4 degrees warmer in chilly or cold weather.  How amazing is that?

Want to know why I am drooling over them so much?  I mean other than the fact that my own baby love, Jagger, looks too adorable for words in this little kicky pants onesie that they sent to him from their oh-so-soft-I-don't-even-have-the-words bamboo basics eco-friendly baby clothes line.  They have a little bit of everything.  Seriously, do you need a long dress?  They got you!  You want to buy your best friend a super soft bamboo knit blanket for their baby shower?  They have that!  Your sister is having a girl you say, and you want to get your future niece a ruffled diaper cover or ruffled bloomers?  Well guess what, they have those too!


 They don't stop at beautiful clothes for the future well dressed babies and toddlers of the world, because it would be too easy to drop the ball and Erin's not about that, she's on her P's and Q's with Kicky Pants!  You can also purchase some of the cutest toys that I have ever seen.  I'm dying to get some for Jagger, especially the Orchard Mushroom and Orchard Apple, which they describe as ultra-squeezable because they are filled with non-toxic micro beads! Then of course you could always stop in and check out their bamboo basics for Mama too, that's right they also sell some super soft, luxurious feeling eco-friendly maternity clothes, because we all know that you deserve a little something special while you're pregnant, so why not purchase one of their luxurious organic maternity shirts?

Lily's Organic Review and Giveaway!

I'm addicted to skin care products, I'll admit it because I am. My bathroom is full of all different types of lotions and potions and everything in between. So when I got the opportunity to do a review for Lilly Organics Skin Care there was no way your girl was going to say no! I spoke to Lily herself, and did I mention that she and Dana are about the sweetest ladies alive, because they really are dolls, and she sent me out some of her products to try.  She asked what my skin type is, and I told her that I have combination oily/normal acne prone skin.  Thanks Mama!  Needless to say I was beyond excited about doing this review!


When my products arrived at my door I was beyond excited!  So I couldn't wait to shower and then try them out.  Oh. Emm. Gee!  I seriously do not think that my skin has ever been this clear, smooth and radiant in my life.  The cleanser that she sent me is to die for, and I'm hooked.  Lilly has a customer for life in this girl, let me tell you.  I've always used organic, because I get down like that.  I have seriously never used anything like this though!  Her Oil Free Conditioning Serum is one of my new favorite things ever!  My skin feels so good, and it looks better than it has in years, everyone has been complimenting me on it since I've been using the cleanser and oil free conditioning serum.

Lily is a genius, seriously there is no other way to put it.  Lily is a farmers daughter and he Daddy was a farmers son, the story goes like this for at least six generations back.  Her sisters interest in health food stores as a teen is really what set this whole thing off, and by this whole thing I mean the amazing organic skin care line that Lily now owns.  Skeptical of the chemicals listed on the labels in the department store she started thinking about the difference between those and the ones listed on the more natural skin care products.  Eventually Lily attended  Colorado Herbal College in Boulder, Colorado.  She began experimenting with different plants and the like, making her own masks and toners which turned out to be so effective that her family encouraged her to market them.  Which she did, and we should all be thankful because we now have the option to have clear, clean, smooth, healthy skin without having to pile chemicals that we don't even understand and can't even pronounce the name of onto our faces.

Showing some E-Love

I'm a green girl. I love natural and organic products. So I thought to get the ball rolling, and get some content on here I would show some e-love for some of my favorite products!




Skin makes my very favorite cleanser ever. This is for normal to oily skin, and is a foaming cleanser. True to it's name it has an amazingly refreshing lemon scent that will enlighten the senses every time you use it.
I love this product because it controls my oily skin better than any non organic product I've ever used, because it doesn't dry out my face at all. I've also seen it work wonders at controlling my acne prone skin, even in my pregnancy stage, which let's face it was much less than flattering to me. It leaves my face feeling refreshed, smooth and oh so fresh and so clean each time I use it. I've tried a few different organic facial cleansers and this is my favorite!

My next favorite product is by skin as well, what can I say I'm at least a somewhat brand loyal lady! I simply adore their Fruity Face Cleansing Scrub!
I use it about three times a week. It removes dead skin like no other. Truly! It also fights free-radical damage and I'm told by the product details that it reduces fine lines. I'm only 24, so I don't really have any fine lines or wrinkles yet, and hopefully with continued use of this product I won't! I love the way this product leaves my skin feeling. It feels so soft and new. If you want baby soft skin and a product to remove dead skin that has other added benefits then this is the product for you. It, like the cleanser, has an amazing fruity scent as well.






Okay, okay. I'm a little more than somewhat brand loyal. (= I can't help it though, when I find something I love, I just gotta stick with it! I also use Skin's Daily Greens Hydrating Repair Cream. This was actually my very first Skin product and it was recommended to me by a friend who uses it. I tried it, was amazed by it and have been using it ever since. It's supposed to repair sun damaged skin. I don't really have sun damage, as I've never been a tanner. I just loved the way it made my skin feel. Especially in the summer. I've always had a great dislike for really thick greasy moisturizers, and this is the exact opposite of those. Very light, not greasy. It's perfect for summer because it's light and winter because it packs a big moisturizing punch! If you try it, you'll love it. Promise!
