Monday Minute

Monday Minute

My favorite time of the blogging week is the Monday Minute with Ian.  Perhaps it's because he makes me giggle, perhaps it's just because he shares my dress-up-like-a-character deep love of The Rocky Horror Picture Show or maybe it's just because I have a weak spot for a man dressed in drag...who knows but either way he posses some quality that makes me look forward to his meme week in and week out.

This week his co-host is Kristi over at The Daily Dribbles, so go check her out and give her some comment lovins!

1. Who is your "what-if" person?
(What-if person being what if I married this person or am now in a relationship with "this" person)
I don't have one.  I am madly in love with my husband, who was my high school sweetheart.  I don't "believe" in divorce, what I mean by that is I don't believe that divorce should be the easy out that it is(except in cases of abuse, of course).  I love my husband and I love my kids, and I love that they are my family.  If my husband and I have problems then we work them out.  I have no desire to be with anyone aside from Justin.  My husband and I have made it through a lot, fights, resentment, the affair he had and a ton of other things.  We're in it for the long haul, so I don't have a "what if" person.

2. What is your nickname?
I don't really have one.  Unless of course you want to count the kids calling me Mama or Mommy, or Justin calling me Baby, Babe, Gorgeous, Bitch or *ahem* See-You-Next-Tuesday (it's said with love, trust me, I'm not a girl that takes kindly to blatant disrespect) or something like that, which I do not count.  There are a few people that call me Ash.

3. If you could choose how you died, how would you like to die?
I would like to have my loved ones at my side - and after telling them what I'd like to tell them, I would like to drift off peacefully into an eternal rest.  (I'm going to keep Ian's answer to this one, because he's pretty much the ish and it's basically what I would have said anyway)

4. If you could have named yourself, which name would you have picked?
I always want to change my name.  I have a very popular, very generic 80's girl name, in the top 3 for that time consistently.  I'm not generic, and I'm not like most other Ashlee/Ashley's that I know.  I feel like it's too cutesy, or too foo-foo for me, don't get me wrong I'm a stiletto loving, MAC addicted, chick-lit loving girly girl sometimes, but I have another side and that side is the dominant side.  If I changed my name it would be something like Scarlett or Jacqueline.  Yeah, I think I would change it to Jacqueline Scarlett, and then I would have a nickname because I would want to be called Jacks or Jax or something.  (=  Since my Mommy picked my name, I doubt I'll be changing it though.
When I was a dancer I had to pick a stage name, you know because of freaky stalkers and such, I picked Trinity because I really liked it.

5. Who were you named after or for what reason did your parents choose your name?
*sigh*  I knew this was coming.  I was named after Ashley Abbot on The Young and the Restless, my Mama's favorite Soap Opera and her favorite character.  Ashley was very popular, and she must have sensed that I was going to be a very unique person, because she spelled it differently by adding a second E and leaving out the Y.  My Daddy put the names of two of my aunts together and that made up my middle name.

Love your answer to #1.

I really like the name Ashlee/Ashley. In fact, if my #1 had been a girl, there was a high likelihood that he would have been Ashlyn.

Thanks for linking up!
